چکیده

Particle morphology and surface properties of metal oxides are topics great importance in the field heterogeneous catalysis. Herein, we have developed a molecular-colloidal coassembly approach combined with an ultrasonic-assisted precipitation method to fabricate [email protected]γ-Al2O3 composites tuneable pore size well-defined octahedral-shape crystal structure. The supramolecular assemblies formed between randomly methylated β-cyclodextrin (RaMeβCD) Pluronic F127 were employed as template tailor shape γ-Al2O3 nanoparticles direct their assembly almost exclusively on micrometer-sized SnO single crystals. Results revealed that cooperative action may critical effect growth orientation microcrystals ultimately determine catalytic performance interesterification rapeseed oil methyl acetate. compartmentalized structures could achieve fatty acid esters (FAME) triacetin (TA) yields 33.5% 1.5% respectively after 30 min at 210 °C, exceeding by 38% FAME yield commercial catalyst.

Evaluation of Methyl Ester Production Using Cement as a Heterogeneous Catalyst

This experiment is an investigation of used cooking oil as a sustainable and renewable resource for methyl ester production. with more than 95.5% production yield, thermally activated hydrated cement has been carefully discussed as a catalyst in the transesterification of used cooking oil into methyl ester to use waste cement as a heterogeneous catalyst for methyl ester production through elect...

Lipase-catalyzed biodiesel production with methyl acetate as acyl acceptor.

Biodiesel is an alternative diesel fuel made from renewable biological resources. During the process of biodiesel production, lipase-catalyzed transesterification is a crucial step. However, current techniques using methanol as acyl acceptor have lower enzymatic activity; this limits the application of such techniques in large-scale biodiesel production. Furthermore, the lipid feedstock of curr...

Transesterification of Waste Cooking Oil for Biodiesel Production Using Modified Clinoptilolite Zeolite as a Heterogeneous Catalyst

Reduction of fossil fuels sources, increasing of pollution gases emission, and global warming effects increase the demand of renewable fuels. One of the main candidates of alternative fuels is biodiesel. Biodiesel limits greenhouse gas effects due to the closed CO2 cycle. Biodiesel has more biodegradability, lower combustion emissions such as CO, SOx, HC, PM and lower toxicity than petro diesel...

Biodiesel Production from Palm Oil using Heterogeneous Base Catalyst

In this study, the transesterification of palm oil with methanol for biodiesel production was studied by using CaO–ZnO as a heterogeneous base catalyst prepared by incipient-wetness impregnation (IWI) and co-precipitation (CP) methods. The reaction parameters considered were molar ratio of methanol to oil, amount of catalyst, reaction temperature, and reaction time. The optimum conditions—15:1 ...

Biodiesel reforming with a NiAl2O4/Al2O3-YSZ catalyst for the production of renewable SOFC fuel

Biodiesel’s contribution as a renewable energy carrier is increasing continuously. Fuel cell market penetration, although slow, is now an irreversible reality. The combination of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) with biodiesel offers considerable advantages because it entails both high energy conversion efficiency and nearzero atmospheric carbon emissions. This work is aimed at proving the efficie...
